Father’s Day in Recovery — Wallet Card

Quick Overview

This is a two-page PDF formatted with four cards per letter-size sheet at standard credit card dimensions (3.375” x 2.125”). Page one contains the four front sides; page two contains the four back sides, mirrored for duplex printing on the long edge. Print the file on cardstock so the back remains writable for filling in contact information, then cut along the corner marks with scissors or a paper cutter. The front side features five numbered reminders and the closing tagline “Hard ≠ failed.” The back side includes the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the SAMHSA National Helpline, followed by three Name and Phone rows for personal emergency contacts that the clinician fills in with the client during session. The card is designed for in-session distribution by clinicians, not for clients to discover on their own.

Best for
Addiction counselors and clinicians working with fathers in early recovery, men working toward reunification, men with complicated relationships with their own fathers, and any client navigating Father’s Day with grief, guilt, custody loss, or family rupture. Particularly useful for group facilitators distributing materials collectively — the shared experience of “we’re all carrying this Sunday” is itself a clinical intervention.
