In 15+ years treating addiction, I’ve watched too many talented clinicians burn out from paperwork while desperately searching for evidence-based tools that actually work in real sessions.
Hi, I’m Stephanie Valentin – Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and certified addiction specialist. I created The Understated Superhero because I saw fellow clinicians drowning in administrative tasks while lacking the practical resources they needed to focus on what matters most: changing lives.
My Background:
- 15+ years treating adolescents and adults with substance use disorders
- Master’s degree from Chicago School of Professional Psychology
- Full spectrum experience – outpatient community mental health to residential treatment
- Supervision experience with interns and new clinicians
